Big Blades

A nice Pedernales that was sleeping way below the surface.
It's hard to beat a day like this.
A nice two blade cache.
You never know what you're going to get when you see a portion of a point protruding from the wall. I was fortunate to get in-situ pictures of this grande blade. I kept digging and it kept on coming!
It turned out to be a grande 8 3/16" Castroville Blade. Found 5/1/03 at about 6' deep in Burnet County on the Lampasas River in Central, Texas.  It is 2 7/16" wide and could be the largest Castroville Knife dug in Burnet County.
Quality material and workmanship all the way around on this one.
