Here is another view of the site. Notice the fire ring in the fore ground just left of the wash. Only about a third of it is exposed at this point.

Remember on the previous page, I mentioned artifacts were found on the hill in the shoulder of the road? Here is a broken portion of a large grinding slab, or metate. It is the only red one I have seen. The ground down portion is visible as the paler, orangish-brown part on the left of the stone.

Easily identifiable artifact. This was found in the plowed field and is shown here as it was found.
