| A shallow site along the Leon River near
Gatesville, Texas. |
  |
| They're not all shallow! Check out that
shell layer on the right. |
  |
| Rain, rain and more rain. The sites I dig
are on private property (mine) along the Lampasas River. The river has come
up several times with the heavy rains we've had this year. |
 |
| One of the screens sits idle while the river
adds another layer on top of the site. |
  |
| Metates and manos. |
  |
| A large Kinney style point found on the
screen. |
  |
| The burnt rock midden runs quite aways along
the river. It was a huge camp with thousands of years of occupation. The
colorful Castroville on the right was one heck of a find found in 2000. |
